Rockin' Robin (Tweet! Tweet!)

Leonard is considering joining the Twitterverse.  What do you think?  Tell me (in the comments section) all of the things you love and hate about Twitter.

And, while you're at it, please also tell me how to use it.

  1. I love it. It's where the snarky people live, but to get the most out of it then you, too, must provide snarky/funny/ranty content. Follow me @lehcarstl and @dyeabolicalyarn There are other people you know on my friends lists.

    1. You know I have no shortage of snarky/funny/ranty stuff. So that's where all the snarky people moved to! I thought you were all just hiding.

  2. I think I was beginning to tell you about it the other day. Twitter is indeed great for short, snarky observations. It's nice for keeping up on breaking news as well. A downside of it, and for you as a writer this especially applies, is the brevity. The 140-character limit doesn't lend much to deep thought and sometimes it feels as if Twitter is contest to see who can come with the "funniest random Tweet of the Day." Or you'll get the opposite end of annoyingly banal, trite Tweets ("wat shoud i hav 4 lunch 2day maybe roast beef maybe turkey prob McDs #FirstWorldProblems").

    1. I almost didn't publish this because of your "sample Tweet."

  3. I like it. I follow other writers, publishers, editors, agents, etc. I get Disney and Apple news (along with other geeky things) but mostly I use it to cyber stalk celebrities. Nathan Fillion, Simon Pegg, Mindy Kaling, the cast of Community, Psych, and How I Met Your Mother. I feel like I somehow know them. HA

I try to be witty, but mostly I'm just checking in when writing (there's a whole community around the hash tag #amwriting) or working on revisions, what I'm craving, when I'm missing Manhattan, and random musings about the books/movies/tv shows I'm geeking out on.

    I think you'll like it.
